I am in the middle of a new construction project and am wondering what the standard distance is from the center of the flange hole to the back wall. Also, is there a common code for the distance the hole must be from any adjacent walls? Any advice is appreciated.

What is allowable for sutting into top plates of walls as well as ploor joists when installing sewer pipes? I know that a typical rule is only 50% of a stud may be removed, but with a 3 or 4 inch pipe, it will always cut out more than 50% of the wall.
