Boiler system for hydronic heat - where to put check valves?

Here is a plumbing schematic of the "as-built" system. Does anything jump out at you?

Boiler system for hydronic heat - where to put check valves?

I have a wood boiler with (2) 300 gallon hot water storage tanks. I use the hot water in the tanks to heat my radiant floor when the boiler is not firing. The boiler system has a loading unit (pump that circulates water from the boiler into the tanks and controls the return water temperature...

Run dedicated 3/4" pex to master shower?

Sorry I forgot to mention: I ran two 1/2" pex hots and two 1/2" pex colds to the dual shower. With 3 other fixtures in the bathroom besides these, do I have to worry about a pressure drop if someone uses the sink because the entire bathroom is fed by one 3/4" pex hot and one 3/4" pex cold? Or...

Run dedicated 3/4" pex to master shower?

I ran one 3/4" hot pex line to the master bathroom which serves a manifold that branches into five 1/2" pex lines. There are 3 fixtures plus 2 shower heads on pressure balancing valves. I don't want to have a pressure drop if both shower heads are going and someone turns on the hot water in...

Building a new master shower with antique-looking exposed copper plumbing

I was having trouble finding a 3/4 PB valve - plumbing supply houses hardly knew what I was talking about. Do you know where I could order one? Thanks!

Building a new master shower with antique-looking exposed copper plumbing

Hi, I am building my own house and roughing in my master shower. I want dual shower heads with an antique, industrial look with exposed copper shower plumbing (see diagram). Initially I ran 1/2" pex, but I was told I would need more volume for a dual shower, so I ran another set of 1/2" pex (it...

Building a new master shower with antique-looking exposed copper plumbing Hi, I am building my own house and roughing in my master shower. I want dual shower heads with an antique, industrial look with exposed copper shower plumbing (see diagram). Initially I ran 1/2" pex, but I was told I...

Use a pressure balancing valve and ball valves for shower controls

The 3-way ball valve makes sense. I ran two of each because I thought one each of 1/2" would not be enough flow for a dual-head shower. Is there a pressure balancing valve that would take four 1/2" pex lines (2 hot, 2 cold), or do I need to tee them together and make two 3/4 lines first? Or...

Use a pressure balancing valve and ball valves for shower controls

Thank you, hj! Now here's another question: I have another shower I want to do dual shower heads on - I roughed in 2 1/2" pex for hot and 2 1/2" pex for cold to the general area. I would like 1 set of globe valve controls for hot/cold and a ball valve to turn the second shower head on/off...

Use a pressure balancing valve and ball valves for shower controls

Yes, a globe valve is what I was thinking - not a ball valve. So I would run the hot and cold supply through the pressure balancer, then a globe valve on each, then a tee connecting them and up to the shower-head?

Use a pressure balancing valve and ball valves for shower controls

I am building my own house and finishing up my rough-in. For my stand-up shower (no tub), instead of buying a brand-name shower kit (Moen, American Standard, etc) I want to install a pressure balancing valve, stub out with ball valves that turn hot and cold on/off, and use a T to go up to the...
