    Whole house surge protector

Easiest for Siemens is the BoltShield QSPD2A065P as it plugs directly into the panel.

    Bonding ground with neutral.

If there is no disconnect at the meter then it is not the first disconnect, it is simply a meter and socket in a metal enclosure. Many POCOs used to require that the GEC (grounding rods or equivalent) connect at the meter. Now most don't allow it. The NEC allows the GEC to connect at the...

Honeywell thermostat keeps reversing valve energized?

Your wattages are bit high. Even the link you posted lists 6 - 16 watts nominal.

Honeywell thermostat keeps reversing valve energized?

Good point about defrost cycle which blows that theory. Maybe in Arizona the reversing valve doesn't move. Many are timer based so quite a few times during the day no matter what.

Honeywell thermostat keeps reversing valve energized?

Since the two years this thread started I've verified a couple of things. Mechanical thermostats had their O and B terminals tied to the Cool-Off-Heat switch independent of temperature. With that your reversing valve was on or off the entire season. Exceptions were thermostats that had an...

Power Panel Surge Suppression and Why You Might Want One

Looks like Eaton has the combo breaker surge but only at 30 or 50 amps. They are expensive and, of course the CH style is even more. BR230SUR - $122 BR250SUR CH230SUR - $184 CH250SUR

Installing New Upstairs Bathroom - Advice Needed

A backwards wye can upset an inspector even if used only for venting. Better to use a combo tee/wye pointed the other way with a 45.

    Service drop wire size

You can check for loose connections in the feed to your panel but sounds like you need to bring out an electrician. They can then pull in the POCO as needed.

Which 220V to 120V Converter? - With Electrical Switch

Bigger issue is nothing is GFCI/RCD protected. You don't want to be electrocuting anyone. If it is your product then it needs re-designed with 220 volt motors/electronics and a 220v RCD cable.

Worn Electrical Cable & Insulating Tape

Tape can't replace a rubber boot. One company makes a product for this: https://sugru.com/projects-inspiration/fix-repair/how-to-repair-a-laptop-charger I see the outer wire is breaking down so that needs fixed as well. Some have been able to open up the charger and either replace the cord...

Panasonic Whisper Green Select with Light/Nightlight

Good to know. Not there yet as still on 2014 via 2015 IRC. I haven't seen many breaker locks in residential.

Panasonic Whisper Green Select with Light/Nightlight

True. Actually since the fan is less than 300VA neither lock or within site is called for per code. The installation instructions do show a power switch so that would take precedence. Likely an inspector would freak out if they turned off the switch and the fan didn't stop.

Panasonic Whisper Green Select with Light/Nightlight

That video doesn't sound right. Switch would have a ground screw/terminal for a ground wire. Then the two reds go to the two connectors on a normal snap switch. The black wire needs a switch (disconnect) within site for most codes. If you want only one switch and it to have a timer function...

Panasonic Whisper Green Select with Light/Nightlight

To use the timer and other advance features you need to leave the main power switch on all the time. Then use a switch connected to the two red wires as a "on/off" switch and you should get the delay. You can use a timer switch but you lose the "features" of these like motion and humidity.

Installing New Upstairs Bathroom - Advice Needed

A valve on the drain. I wonder if that stays closed until the septic backs up. You then open the valve so everything (waste, no soil?) goes to the other which just dumps to a dry well.

Installing New Upstairs Bathroom - Advice Needed

You noticed the main vent is too small. Do you have two feeds to your septic system or do you have two separate septic systems? The horizontal connection between the two systems appears to be trying to vent the toilet. Left AAV isn't effective as is tied in too low. Right AAV trying to be vent...

Installing New Upstairs Bathroom - Advice Needed

What you have now is appalling. It needs gutted and redone from scratch. Wasn't it flagged by your house inspector before you bought it? Find a real, licensed plumber and get their opinion on how to proceed.

30A 120v emergency power transfer switch and panel setup

Your main outside panel looks like it feeds a couple of sub panels plus some other significant 240 volt loads. Have you identified the breakers for the loads you want? Are they all on the one panel? If so the transfer switch you pointed out should be fine mounted next to your panel. The...

Is it against code to place a nat. gas forced air furnace in a plastic pool?

Furnaces can be mounted horizontally and hung from the ceiling (unistrut or similar) which can solve vent issues. Probably not an option but many have theirs installed in the attic.

Is it against code to place a nat. gas forced air furnace in a plastic pool?

No electrical code other than being poor workmanship. Better to put it on a stand. In the old days bricks, blocks and poured concrete pads.
