    toilet further away from the wall, will 12" rough in do?

    Will a new 12" rough in toilet (Toto Drake CST743S) work replacing my old toilets which were put in further away from the wall? One of my toilets is some 16 inches from the wall to the bolts, with few inches of "wasted" space from the wall to the tank. Why does the 10, 12, or 14 inch standard...
