Thanks for the replies. The 105 mesh does concern me and I am sure it would not catch anywhere near all of the sediment, but I wonder if it would catch enough to significantly extend the lift of my WHF.

Thanks for the reply, BUT I won't be drilling a new well unless and until this one stops supplying useable water. Filters are a lot cheaper than a new well. It may be that drilling a new well is the only total solution, and it may only be a matter of time, but that may be years, or decades...
