Thank you!!!!!this was driving me crazy...I got a new flapper but had no idea that you have to insert the plastic rod APART from the flapper assembly into one of the grooves on the flush valve...THEN you put the flapper onto the rod....it seems that the directions should be much clearer....Thank...
