    thank you. you were right. things were not seated as well as they should have been and i think the grease did help a little too. its 90% better and that'll be fine till i redo the whole thing next week. thanks again.

    I've got a steady-stream leak from my tub faucet. it's a 3 handle setup (hot, cold, diverter). ive replaced all 3 valves, gaskets/washers, i even replaced all three seats - or whatever you call them - that the valves screw into. it helped for about 2 days, but now the leak is a steady stream...
