Cooling unit for a small room in the back of the house?

Thanks for the reply, I wonder if I could install a mini-split in my house? I've done a lot of DIY. I imagine it would have to have coolant charge into the system once its assembled. Perhaps a I could have a HVAC specialist just do that part.

Cooling unit for a small room in the back of the house?

Can anyone recommend a cooling unit for a child's room. I have a house that cools well except for one room in the back and it happens to be the baby room. Will I need to buy a cooling unit that has to have drainage for water or is there something else that could pull down the temp?

Well thats the problem. This if for a HVAC coil drain and I dont have but about 2 feet of clearance above it. I would use a stick to retrieve but it would hit the rafters of the roof. Its also inside of a wall so I'd have to cut sheet rock out to splice it. I probably need something on a...

    Shower valve piping distance

Ok thanks Redshoe, Its coming down to the wire with a baby on the way. I got some outrageous quotes for tub installs or so I thought. They wanted $745 to install the tub and a shower valve. That's with me providing all the parts. Also, the vent stack was in the way at that time but I have...

    Shower valve piping distance

While planning my bath tub installation I see that my copper piping for the shower valve will rest upon the front lip of my 14 inch tall tub. Will that cause a problem with the heat from the hot water or make my valve too close for proper tiling? Should I cut it and set it back a couple if...

PVC Pipe in the way of bathtub apron support

It appears that PVC pipe is a vent stack. I wonder if I could taper it off into a 2 inch pipe and that might give me the room I need. It's a 2 bath house.

new approach Good advice on the license and insuring. The guy who gave me a quote today says he can tie it into an existing pipe half-way and run 3/4 inch pipe instead of 1 & 1/4. Is there some kind of equation or formula to figure what length of pipe, and diameter of pipe for a certain...
