Grout + Sealer is not waterproof - FYI Seal that joint with 100% silicone caulk and you'll be in better shape. It will withstand water very well.

Sorry to bump this, but wondering if I'm an idiot worrying about cracking the bowl re:question quoted above.

So installed a Cadet 3 last night in my home and the tank is pretty loose because of the big thick rubber gasket between the tank and bowl. Should I keep cranking down? I'm afraid I'll crack the tank! I love that the directions say "don't overtighten" to release them from liability. :D

I just went through this same process and the toto unifit's will be the shortest you can find at 28 3/4" from the wall.

I just ordered a Nexus and a 14" unifit for a 14" rough, they said it would work at the plumbing supply house, but when I came back here I see some saying otherwise? Who is right?

Terry, Thanks for the info, I'll measure out 28.75" and see what it looks like. If I still think it's sticks too far out, and wanted to get more invasive and move my flange back to a 10 or 12" rough would I have better options for a toilet that doesn't stick out so far? I know there are a...

This is a stupid question, but what seperates a 12" rough bowl from a 14" rough bowl? Guy I just talked to at a plumbing place said to just use a 12", but he also "never heard" of Toto, so I quickly am moving on to a different supply house.:eek:
