Old delta shower valve not working

I would replace the valve. It looks twisted from someone unthreading the keeper. It happens with those valves if you aren't super careful.

The inlets are NOT on a horizontal plane so it HAS been twisted. If it was done when the cap was removed, this time, then it will probably leak when you put it back together. If not, it MIGHT last until it has to be repaired again. At this point replacement might be the prudent choice.

Thanks for your input. Not wanting to do a major tile repair, I filled the valve with vinegar for about 24 hours, it works like new! Thanks for your input.
