Check it out, I dropped it off yesterday for the person but I haven't got to play around with it yet to see what $1900 gets you these days.

Not as much as it used to. Budget hardware keeps up more than it ever has with mid-high end hardware so the law of diminishing returns is pretty strong. Of course I still like to get at least mid end video cards just because the fans are more reliable. My R9 270X is still keeping up with new games with a i5 4690k. I had about $700 into it until my FX-6300 and the AS-rock motherboard fried so I wanted to see what the Intel hype was about (prior every computer I built was AMD), now it's up to $1,200.

I have a Dell studio 8100 with i5-750 and 8GB of DDR 1333 Kingston memory that can work at 1600Mhz too. It did have a gtx260 video card but I upgraded it to a gtx650 Ti Boost along with a 550 power supply. I bought it used 3-4yrs ago for $250 (good price) but it was suppose to have 8GB of DDR 1333 already in it. I have $500-550 into my computer but I sold 2 other computers that I put together with extra parts for $175. Last game I played on it was Diablo III & StarCraft II and it ran everything at the highest settings with no problems. I've been out of the loop on video games for a few years now. My kids took over my PS4 as well.
