My water line comes in 5.5 inches from the center. It comes from the wall and is 5.5 above the tiled floor. I want to instal a Toto ECO soiree, but the specs say the water line must be 8 inches from center? Will it work?

It will work, if you are measuring center of flange to center of water line. The worst you will have to do it put a 90 bend on the line where it comes out of the wall and move it over a smidge, or use the Dahl Skirted Toilet Installation Kit, which you can google. Or replace the stop valve with a small quarter-turn one with a vertical outet.

Thanks for the info. Can I also do that with a water line that comes up from the floor in another bathroom?

If the supply is in the wall, it works at 5.5"
Not from the floor though. The footprint at the floor is wider.

I just called Dahl and they thought I could use their skirted toilet kit on the pipe that comes up from the floor to get the wider footprint. Do you agree?
