Recently the AS Champion 4 has been extremely slow in filling the bowl. Flush is OK, and the tank is not slow filling. I think the problem must be in the holes under the rim, correct? We are on well water and I did clean the inside of the tank a couple of weeks ago.

How can I clean out the holes? Do I need to take the toilet out?

Are you saying that the bowl continues filling after the water stops flowing from the fill valve?

Make sure the fill tube from the fill valve is still pointed down the overflow tube.
This is what refills the bowl after a flush.

It could be as simple as the Fluidmaster seal. They sometimes tend to slow the water flow, or stop it completely, when they are failing. The seal is very easy to replace and you can buy it just about anywhere.
