coleman 3/4hp pedestal pump bottom plate

I have a Coleman 1/2 hp pedestal pump that the bottom plate is bad and needs replaced, Ive been told they have a lifetime warenty, i bought this pump on sale, where can i find a replacement part? Or what kind of materal can i make a plate out of that is easy to cut and work with and last?
