Brass coupler thread failing

I think what happened is China made a bunch of bad parts, And HD said we will buy them for cheap. Brass can be hard to rework.

Then the bad specs became a standard.


I made that up, but have seen that before. lol

I do not care WHOSE thread it is, it is impossible for a metal thread to go 3/4 of the way and then "cock" off to the side. IMPOSSIBLE....................

It is possible to thread a couple of turns and then have things go crooked -- if, for example, the two threads are different pitch.

After pipe fittings are 3/4 threaded? No way...

If you use a PVC coupling you can cut your own threads, If they don't match right. lol

I think the problem may be with the sizes not matching from 1 in to 25.4 mm

Turns per inch and turns per mm almost never come out exactly even.
