The faucet release of pressure is quick. Maybe a second or two. The T&P valve was replaced a few years ago. I suppose it could bad but in the past when I've had them go they have dumped more water. Pulling the test lever releases water as it should and then closes immediately with no leak...

The time interval between regens is set manually. My thought is to keep the unit in operation and get some benefit from it while keepign everyone happy. But will I reduce the life of the resin by a large degree with a once per month regen cycle?
