Exchanging, not returning.
Allow me make a correction: I was at Home Depot to make an exchange. I wasn't looking for money back or anything like that, I was there to do a warranty exchange. But to do that , they claim they have to have a SKU, do a return, then charge for a new heater. They...
ATTENTION FELLOW CONTRACTORS: Do NOT buy from Home Depot !! I discovered today that they have a new, much stricter return policy. I returned a leaking G.E. water heater, guaranteed for 6 years, and was told to return it at my local Home Depot. I did not have a receipt, nor did the home owner as...
Got hurt at work last week, am curious, how many of you out there have lifted too much and gotten a groin/inguinal hernia?
How long were you out of work?
How long until you could lift and carry tools/material again?

I've seen guys do the quick and dirty method, shove a piece of wire mess down the...
The cartridge is pressure balanced. Unless you have equal pressure on both the cold AND the hot side, it shouldn't allow any water thru.
Sounds like it's operating (mostly) normal.
With only an 1/8th inch to deal with, I'd use a Jumbo wax ring with a horn(which is really the most common one we use) and if that's not enough, set that wax ring on top of a standard wax ring and just double-up the wax.
The flange risers work well, I've used them before, but you need to seal...
Well, maybe the Home Centers near you employ someone with a brain but most of the employees in the plumbing aisle of my local home centers are idiots. I wouldn't want them in the field, they're a hazard and the advice I hear them give sometimes makes my cringe. Luckily, I don't visit Cheapo...
