Thanks. I guess a contributing factor is that it is draining into PVC into the crawl space. The entire bathroom including plumbing was justed remodeled- cast iron was replaced with PVC.

The Kohler technical specs don't indicate the size of the output hole on the diverter. Based on your question, it sounds like that would factor into the water pressure question - correct?

I've lived in two houses with refinished sinks and tubs- in both cases the sinks and tubs did not wear well at all- they chip easily. I haven't heard of a durable method/product that is impervious to chipping.
