Condensation... Thanks gents. The microwave (above the stove) does have a baffle. There really isn't any attic space - above the microwave is about 5' of pipe - 1' in the ceiling, 1.5' going through two roofs and 2.5 feet above the roof. I'm betting that now the microwave is installed...

Disposers ;) Do you add anything to your septic system to help it "cope" with the disposer? Or does the natural bacterial action do the trick?

I've seen conflicting observations that garbage disposals are detrimental to septic systems. I've also seen In-sink-erator has a special disposal that injects enzymes into the "mix" every time you use the disposal to keep the tank healthy... Any hard data on this topic? Rob

Bubbling toilet I had a rental house that did this. The bubbling toilet was my warning that the sewer pipe was almost plugged again. Ignoring the warning induced a backup into the house... Ultimately it turned out that the pipe to the street was broken and had settled..
