    Years ago, in the eastern part of NC, I Knew a man that had a single shot shotgun. He would put the gun into the well casing up to the forearm and use duct tape to seal the casing. Then he would shoot the well. I would never consider doing it because of the lead. When we had well issues, we use to always joke about shooting one, but I don't know of anybody else that has actually done it.
