    Basement Vent Cover Needed?

I have a dedicated vent in the basement of my older home that attaches to the south foundation wall 5 1/2 feet up. It's made from PVC 1120, 1 1/2 inch diameter for the side by side clothes washer and wash tub basin that vent just fine. About 6 years ago I had central AC installed in the...

Toto Drake issue- Don't be late for school!

I believe it's a ball valve,...a quick half turn opens and closes it. Can it be set to back in a bit?

Toto Drake issue- Don't be late for school!

My Toto sounds like a school bell when you press down on the handle. It flushes and cycles fine otherwise. It's 9 years old and has had a new factory fill valve replaced last year. o_O

New toilet is heaven! TOTO Drake

Terry, well, actually your son called me here in Montana and talked to me about the Toto Drake a few weeks ago. I was thinking about getting the Kohler Cimmaron. Well, I purchased the Toto at my local plumbing supply house in Missoula at a discount because, he said, business was slow. But I'm a...

Thanks for your input, were having some cool weather that's returned here in the Rockies, so when I feel like going outside and washing the car in my driveway again, I'll look into some of your ideas.

Yes, 1/4 turn but no orange box. I called the manufacturer and they say they've had problems with the one's made in China, too. They told me to go back to the hardware store and replace it with the internals of the one they have that was made in Tiwain. Well, the hardware store didn't have it...

    Question about steel tubs

That's too bad you feel this way. Even enamal over steel jacuzzis' look great in a modern tile surround. All the other type of tubs I saw looked to dull or flat. I had to straighten mine out but it just took a half hour because they never attached it to the studs. Lucky.

    Question about steel tubs

The beauty of an enamal over steel tub with a tile surround is the best. That's what I did. It adds to the overall look. My tub was installed in 1980 by previous owners and was somewhat neglected. They have some chemical cleaning kits for them, which I used, and it came out great. The shine is...

    outdoor spigets

Already did this, thanks for asking. Any other ideas? Poor design? Back pressure from Hose? Remember, this is my second one. It only has a rubber gasket in it. Should I replace with graphite?

No, just replaced this week. Kept the valve isolated in basement till I washed the car.

    outdoor spigets

With these new Chinese made outdoor frost-free water spigots, the ones attached to your house, how do you get them not to leak at the handle when you have a twenty-five foot hose and spray nozzle connected to them when washing the car on a saturday afternoon? The driveway is slightly higher than...
