    So do I still spray the fitting with PB Blaster before using the hacksaw? Thanks very much for all the replies to my dilema. My question is do I still use the PB Blaster on the corrided part and then use the hacksaw on it? ho hum ..... when will I resolve this issue:(

    Hi folks, The hot water hose on my very old washing machine broke spilling water all over the basement. The hose itself is completely off but the fitting is rusted and will not come off. I tried soaking it with WD-40 and it still won't come off. Do I need to contact a plumber?:confused:

    Ballpark figure for new siding and roof, anyone?

    I'm in Massachusetts......and I have had this home for 16 years now. I found these contractors at a local "home show." They came with a good presentation, siding samples and photos of before and after jobs. I'll keep interviewing.

    Reply to Frenchi To make this simple: I have received (2) estimates from 2 different contractors for siding and new roof. Both contractors DO NOT want to remove the wood shingles and the roof shingles.....just simply go over the existing material. Will the price go higher if I hire them...
