Does this trap adapter need a washer or not?

Looks like the same one I got: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NIBCO-2-in-PVC-DWV-Trap-Adapter-Fitting-C48017HD2/100344161 Is it true that some of these have "built in washers"? Can you add an additional washer to that if so?

Does this trap adapter need a washer or not?

DIYer here, trying to sort out my kitchen sink situation after switching from 2 drain to 1 drain. I bought a NIBCO 2in trap adapter fitting, and the hardware store guy said it didn't need a washer, it was built into the nut. It kind of looks like that, but I wasn't familiar with that setup...

    DIY bathroom sink issues

Looks like B is the answer. I torqued it a bit harder and finally got it to budge. The pipe sticking out furthest seems like steel and is same size as the drain line that came with the simple p trap I bought. What's my best move now?

Nut won't budge with wrench or pliers.

Any tips on determining the type? I would guess galvanized or iron but I'm not sure. Attached is photo with the flex piece removed. The pipe sticking out past the nut is smaller diameter than the part behind the nut, like it's a nipple or something but I can't turn it.

I'm just not following how to connect the simple trap to the existing outlet. Do I need to take the nut off? Do I need to cut something? Glue something?

It is 1.25 but the nut itself does not rotate as it's glued in place. I got a simple trap but I can't connect it since the drain end of the trap is just smooth pipe. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

    DIY bathroom sink issues

I'm not sure if this is something for a DIYer like myself, but I would love to try if possible. I have two issues with my bathroom sink plumbing. One is that my water supply lines do not have shutoff valves, and I'm not sure how to add them because the supply itself is currently a male 3/8"...

P trap, flexible pipe, and leaks

Thanks. I took the flex piece off and the wall side looks like it has threads and maybe already has an adapter on it? The flex piece was over the black part, but threaded into the mount.

P trap, flexible pipe, and leaks

Hi all, Newb question here. Moved into my house a while back, everything was fine, and then last night the p-trap on my bathroom sink just fell off and made a mess. The tail(?) pipe is smooth with no thread or lip or anything, and the one coming from the wall is a flex pipe that is also smooth...
