    Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't yet try to remove the bushing, because I couldn't find brass Desanko in the big box store. I'll check a smaller (and better!) plumbing shop on Monday or Tuesday. http://www.watts.com/pages/_products_details.asp?pid=2789 - Is that the right item?

    Hi all, I started replacing kitchen sink plumbing and stuck, because I am not sure how to remove the trap arm to replace it with PVC part. Looks like it is either soldered or glued into some kind of fitting inside the elbow. At the wall side the elbow seems to be screwed into the waste pipe...
