I thought it might be fun to post here the details of your work day.

I notice that many other plumbing sites does this thread. Even though I am not a plumber I do work. I will start it with mine. I can't wait until, August so I can resume my teaching position. I had taken a job to tie me over money-wise (retail business) and today, I punched out at noon, and kept walking, actually, kept driving, all the way home, and never going back.

I took it easy today (saturday) until our county fair cancelled it's last day, which forced me to pull my misting truck out of the front lot and pick up all my park benches.

Glad I don't have to deal with it sunday as I have a full day tomorrow, finishing up an ongoing job.

Busy the next couple weeks as well being a camera man.

It has been hot enough here, in the high 80's to still use those Misting trucks of yours. This place I was at yesterday, (where I walked) was a big place, and won't turn on the air. It was stifling. So, now that I don't have a job to go to today I guess it is work around the house today; and work on the classroom outlines.

So what are you filming? Need a hired hand? ;)

As I was watching "Marley and Me", I was thinking it would be nice to have a thread about the work day expediences we have.
Then I came down to the computer, and here it was.

Nice job Cookie.

Was I reading your mind?

My work day (Sat.) comprised of looking at a 1.5" water line at a condo with a leak...then looking at another condo that needs a new dishwasher installed and a condensate line replaced that is coming from the A/C that is plugged and leaking onto the ceiling of the unit below...

Sometimes I go into places like banks, and if I look up, I will see damp ceiling tiles form the air units.
The condensate drains block, and the drip pans overflow.

Some guys clear them with a shot of air from a compressor.

Maybe. :) I just saw it on other sites and saw they had a nice flux of activity over it, we actually have Rugged to thank because he started one on another site, I just kind of copied it, he deserves the credit.

My son's room sized air conditioner leaked alot into his room, I didn't get a chance to look at it yet, any ideas perhaps, why it did that and what I need to look for to fix it? Thank you

Most times an A/C window unit leaks is because it is tipped towards the room rather than away...

I would check that first...

I actually used to go a little faster than that but they put a new law in place here if you go more than 50km over the speed limit (100km on highways) you get charged with "Street racing" which it was designed for.

The new law carries stiffest penalties of any speeding ticket in the United States, or Canada. Penalties for driving 50 km/h over the speed limit include, a $2,000 - $10,000 fine, roadside vehicle seizure, and driver's licence suspension for 1 week, and 6 demerit points.

5,000 charged in 2009 by May 18.
8,459 charged in first year
23 charged daily!
41% convicted on the charge
39% have charges reduced
36 drivers have been caught twice

So that's why i only go 145km/h, but being a toll road it's not too busy and a lot of people go fast.

Yes i got it.
I like the e-mail jokes like that, i usually on pass on ones like those.
The dirty ones i delete, you never know who's watching.

I don't wear a helmet i'm thinking going that fast if something happened, then i would only be a head left inside a helmet.

Coming back from Whistler I was doing 90 for a while on winding mountain roads.
The guy in front of me was using three lanes, the lane for traffiic coming the other way, our lane, and the shoulder lane.
He had a little sports car, I had an Toyota Highlander 4-wheel drive.
I was able to drive it using the center lane.

It was pretty funny watching the sports car in front using three lanes.

I think it was marked for 45 MPH

It's hard to slow down after skiing for a few days.

I only drive that way in Canada.
It comes from my high school days driving up to Whistler on weekends.

V6 I hope Terry.
I've heard of Toyota Rav4's with V6's suprising a couple of mustangs.

My work day is usually sitting in front of a computer. Going out in the field once a week or so. My usual issues are what sirius/CD to listen to and what's for lunch.

I only drive that way in Canada.

I did the trip from Bellingham Washington to San Diego.

Tried to go along the coast Hwy 101 Ocean Pacific (up & down the mountains) i got as far as Fort Bragg California and gave up and drove inland.

I was averaging 20MPH (lol) and these huge tree trucks were riding my but the whole way.

Scariest drive i've ever been on.

Corners like that are meant to be drifted.

I had one wild run through Oregon in the Mountains once in a Fiat Brava, seems I was doing 90 there on empty roads.
Lot's of drifting.
Sort of like skiing, but on wheels. I like the sidewise motion.
